The goal of the internal medicine residency program is to train future internists in a community setting. The environment will place residents in close contact with leading community internists with training reflecting the daily practice of those physicians. Because Missouri Baptist Medical Center functions at a high level based entirely on the efforts of those who practice there, we are able to create a training program that is education, rather than service, based.
