Why choose us for postpartum and recovery care?
Pregnancy and childbirth can be life-changing, coming with a lot of new normals for you and your family. BJC is your partner in postpartum recovery providing exceptional care to help your mind and body heal post-delivery.
Your new baby will rely on you for the healthy building blocks to start their lives. Our board-certified lactation specialists support you after delivery, and our Neonatal Therapy Team works with you to keep your little one happy, healthy, and fed based on your needs and goals. For babies who need extra support, our infant feeding team offers specialized outpatient care in feeding coordination, positioning, and development—helping infants build strong feeding skills and thrive in a nurturing environment.
We also understand the mental and emotional adjustments that come for new parents. We provide resources and care to help you through anxiety, depression, or other perinatal mental health support you need so you can care for yourself and your family.
Contact our milk bank
Breast milk can help strengthen newborns’ immune systems and support healthy development. BJC HealthCare accepts milk donations from generous mothers, then works with the OhioHealth Mothers’ Milk Bank to screen and distribute milk to families who need it.
Support every new parent needs
Every day brings exciting challenges and questions for new parents. St. Louis Children’s Hospital’s Parent Toolkit resources range from pediatric health recommendations to medication dosage charts to car seat installation support. If you have a question, we have an answer.
