What is a milk bank?

Breast milk is a lifesaving medicine for medically fragile infants. It supports the immune system, brain and organ development, and reduces the risk of serious infections and complications. When additional feeding support is needed, donor breast milk can offer babies safe, nutritious support for growth and development. BJC works with OhioHealth Mothers’ Milk Bank to make donating easy and free, helping generous moms supply thousands of ounces of milk to newborn intensive care units each year.

For more information about becoming a breast milk donor, email OhioHealth Mothers’ Milk Bank or call 614-566-0630.
