Nurse research projects

Magnet® designated organizations through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) are celebrated for their pursuit of ongoing nursing excellence and setting high standards for patient outcomes, positive work environments, and atmospheres of continual improvement. The Magnet sources of evidence (requirements) outline specific criteria around the structure, development, sustainment, and dissemination of nursing research. Magnet-designated organizations must meet the rigorous research requirements as part of the Magnet application designation documents on an ongoing basis. A table of nursing research studies (having been approved by an IRB) is required that indicates nurse employees at the organization are conducting research. Additional standards validate that nurses within these organizations are disseminating the information learned and outcomes from these research studies. As a four-time Magnet designated organization, we are dedicated to the ongoing pursuit of new knowledge, innovations, and improvements for the profession of nursing.
