Remember, blueberries can help your memory, among other things

BJC wants you to know that eating your blueberries can help keep you in the pink. Blueberries have been hailed as a super food because they may protect against memory loss and heart disease.

A new study finds they could also help stop the development of colon cancer. The study found that a natural compound found in blueberries helped prevent pre-cancerous colon lesions in rats. While the study is preliminary, it can’t hurt to add berries to your diet.

The antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agent found mostly in blueberries and blackberries are still a great addition to any meal. They will also help you reach the suggested nine servings of fruits and vegetables a day.
