As an infant, Braylee Frankford and her family landed in St. Louis Children's Hospital in critical condition—she had so much fluid in her belly from a failing liver, it was difficult to breathe.

She needed a liver transplant and quickly. Just in time, a deceased donor became available, and proved to be a perfect match for Braylee.

KTVI reporter Mandy Murphy covered Braylee's story shortly after her transplant, and got to reunite with her on the 10th anniversary, as Braylee brought a large donation of art supplies to the hospital for other young patients.

KTVI caught up with Braylee, her parents, and Brian Hesketh, transplant coordinator at St. Louis Children's Hospital, about the inspiring journey.

You can watch an extended version of Braylee's story, including the original story with 19-month-old Braylee here: KTVI: The Vault: Illinois Girl Healthy 10 Years After Liver Transplant.
