BJC's innovative Telestroke Program is saving lives and speeding diagnosis by connecting regional hospitals to WashU Medicine stroke specialists 24/7.

The program, led by Dr. Derek Holder, a WashU Medicine neurologist and stroke specialist at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, connects community hospitals that may not have a neurologist available in the ER with BJC's certified Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Dr. Holder explains the impact of this program, that now helps treat about 3,500 patients per year, in a recent story with St. Louis Magazine.
