Staying on top of your health care involves more than doctor's visits. Scheduling appointments, calling about a prescription refill, and reading your test results take time, and between work, family, and other responsibilities, sometimes it's hard to squeeze it all in.

With MyChart, a secure online patient portal that helps you stay connected to your care team, you can complete many routine health care tasks online. From scheduling appointments to viewing test results and messaging your provider’s office, MyChart makes it easy to access your  BJC HealthCare providers and health information whenever you need it.

Explore these five MyChart features that can help you save time and take a more active role in your care.

Schedule or request appointments

Need to schedule your annual checkup or a follow-up visit with your provider? You can schedule an appointment online or request one at your convenience. You can also view upcoming appointments, cancel or reschedule visits, and receive appointment reminders.

Request prescription refills

If you’re running low on a medication, MyChart makes it easy to request a refill. Simply select your medication, choose your pharmacy, and submit your request. Some prescriptions, such as controlled substances, will require a phone call to your provider to refill.

Send a message to your care team

Have a nonurgent question about your care, medications, or recovery? Secure messaging lets you contact your provider’s office directly through MyChart, making it easy to stay connected to your care team.

View lab results and after-visit summaries

Your lab results, imaging reports, and visit summaries are all in one place. You can review your provider’s notes, care instructions, and next steps whenever you need to.

Complete paperwork before your appointment

Save time at check-in by updating your medical history, medications, allergies, insurance information, and other forms before you arrive. You can also verify your contact information and pay your bill through MyChart.

Bonus tip: Turn on notifications

Enable push notifications, email alerts, or texts so you’ll know when you have a new message, test result, or appointment reminder.

Making the most of MyChart is easy. The more you use your patient portal, the more time you’ll save—and the easier it becomes to stay connected to your care.
