BJC Health has been named to Newsweek’s first-ever “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Culture, Belonging & Community 2026” list, receiving five stars, the highest possible designation.
This is the first year for this list, which celebrates employers who prioritize culture, foster genuine belonging, and build strong communities. “Companies who embrace these principles don’t just attract top talent; they create spaces where people from all walks of life can collaborate, innovate, and thrive,” says Newsweek. The outlet also referenced a study from the Harvard Business Review stating that when people feel like they belong at work, they are more productive, motivated, engaged, and 3.5 times more likely to contribute to their fullest potential.
“BJC is a world-class employer and a talent destination for team members coming from all types of backgrounds and roles,” says Jackie Tischler, BJC Health chief people officer. “Our shared values of Kindness, Respect, Excellence, Safety, and Teamwork continue to be a driving force behind our commitment to ensuring everyone at BJC feels as though they belong.”
BJC Health has been recognized multiple times over the past year for its excellent culture, benefits, and work-life balance. A few of these include Newsweek’s “America's Greatest Workplaces for Women 2025,” Forbes’ “America’s Dream Employers,” and Forbes’ “America’s Best In-State Employers."
BJC supports and fosters an inclusive, welcoming working environment through award-winning development programs, comprehensive benefits packages, and a strong commitment to belonging and inclusion programs, such as BJC Belonging Week and BJC Connections groups.
