Billing Now on MyChart for a Better Patient Experience

BJC HealthCare and WashU Medicine billing are on the MyChart patient portal for an easier patient experience. This means patients can log in to MyChart to pay their bill, and patients without a MyChart account will be given a temporary login to pay their bill, or if they choose, they can still pay through traditional payment methods.

For patient convenience and to help reduce environmental impact, patients with a MyChart account are encouraged to enroll in paperless billing within their account settings. Patients who enrolled in paperless billing may opt out to continue receiving paper bills through the U.S. Postal Service at any time.

Any existing payment plans and outstanding balances will automatically transition to the new system. Patients with a MyChart account will receive billing alerts based on their preferred communication preferences, and monthly statements will be available under the billing menu in MyChart. 

MyChart offers secure online access to your medical records, making it easier to manage your health anytime, anywhere. With MyChart, you can view test results, message your care team, schedule appointments, and manage and pay your medical bills all in one place.  

1. Visit MyPatientChart.org and click “Sign Up Now.”

2. Enter your personal information and submit the form.

3. Verify your identity.

4. Choose a username and password to complete your setup.
