About DAISY Foundation

Daisy Award

The DAISY award is an international award program created by The DAISY Foundation that rewards nursing excellence. The DAISY Foundation was established in 2000 by the family of J. Patrick Barnes who died of complications of an autoimmune disease at the age of 33. DAISY is an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System. During Pat’s eight-week hospitalization, his family was awestruck by the care and compassion his nurses provided, not only to Pat but to everyone in his family. One of the goals they set in creating a foundation in Pat’s memory was to recognize extraordinary nurses everywhere who make an enormous difference in the lives of so many people through the work they do every day.

About Connect Recognition Program

The nurse who held your hand during a daunting procedure and listened to your concerns. The physical therapist who helped you regain your strength and cheered you on as you healed. The surgeon who assured you that your quality of life would improve after an operation—and then delivered on that promise.

We are committed to providing extraordinary care to every patient. You and your family are at the heart of all we do because we believe you deserve to live your healthiest life.

Just as we are committed to providing you with extraordinary care, we also strive to acknowledge employees who exceed expectations.
