Preparing for your stay at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital ensures a smooth and comfortable experience. Below are key details to help you get ready:
What to Bring
- A valid photo ID, such as a driver's license, passport, or state-issued ID.
- Bring all applicable insurance cards and any necessary authorization forms.
- A complete list of your current medications, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, and supplements.
- Comfortable clothing, toiletries, and any assistive devices (e.g., glasses, hearing aids).
- If applicable, provide a copy of your living will or durable power of attorney for health care.
- The name, address and phone number of your primary care physician.
- Medical records, reports, or diagnostic results your physician gave you to bring to the hospital.
- Cell phone number of your escort/driver so they can be contacted directly about your progress.
- A method of payment for any needed co-pay.

Arrival and Registration
- Patients should enter through the main hospital entrance located on Olive Boulevard.
- Valet parking is available, or you can park in the free surface lot.
- Registration occurs at the point of care; please bring co-payments, if applicable.

- Arrive at the scheduled time to ensure your surgery proceeds as planned.
