  • Internet connection
  • MyChart account
  • MyChart app (tablet and cell phone users only)

Tips for a productive visit

  • Find a private, quiet location with good lighting
  • Set your camera to eye level
  • Prepare a list of your concerns or questions ahead of time
  • Test your equipment prior to call
  • Confirm camera and microphone access for your computer or for your Android smartphone or tablet
  • Have a pen and paper ready to take any notes

Prior to your visit

  • Complete the eCheck-In process in MyChart
    • eCheck-In allows you to sign forms, pay any copays, confirm contact information and verify insurance details prior to your visit.
    • On-demand video visits: eCheck-In must be completed prior to speaking with a Virtual Care team provider.
    • Scheduled video visits: eCheck-In can be completed up to 7 days prior to appointment, but no less than 30 minutes before scheduled time.

Check-in for your visit

  • Scheduled video visits: Check in to your call up to 30 minutes prior to your appointment

During your video visit

  • Audio and video will not be recorded.
  • Uncover your camera if you previously blocked it for privacy reasons.
  • You can mute your microphone or stop using your outgoing video stream at any time during the visit.
  • Do not refresh your screen or allow your device to go to sleep.
  • Do not use your mobile device for calls, texts or to view other apps.
  • If you’re using a mobile device, consider using a Wi-Fi connection instead of cellular data because the connection is typically more reliable.
  • You must physically be located in a state where your provider is licensed to practice medicine. If not, our staff will end the visit and work with you to reschedule. If you did not receive this information from your provider during scheduling, contact your provider’s office to confirm

If you miss your scheduled video visit

  • If you are not available at your scheduled visit time, our staff will call you to see if you need help connecting. If they cannot reach you, or you have not connected by 10 minutes after the scheduled visit time, the visit will be canceled, and we will work with you to reschedule.
