Flu Vaccines

Every company can benefit from immunizations and infection control. Influenza vaccine — the flu shot — is the best way to reduce your chances of getting the flu. The flu can be a serious illness, and people of any age can get it.

Flu season in the United States is usually November through April. During this time, flu viruses are most prevalent.

It is important to get a flu shot every year, because flu viruses mutate from year to year. Flu activity generally peaks between late December and early March. Shots are given beginning in September to provide protection throughout the flu season. Most people benefit from the vaccination. Only a few do not, due to rare health conditions.

Ergonomics

Ergonomics is the science of the match between the person, the equipment they use, the work process and the work environment. Ergonomic principles are used to improve the "fit" between the worker and the workplace which can reduce fatigue, stress and the chance of injury for you and for your clients or employees.

We are seeing more injuries because the workforce is becoming older, physical fitness levels are decreasing, and mental fatigue is increasing. Educated employees can do their job better, reduce wasteful motions, and create less fatigue. Employers benefit from decreased work injuries, increased productivity and decreased absenteeism.
