Darby Hobbs
PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident, 2025–2026
Pharm.D., Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville School of Pharmacy

Matching at Missouri Baptist Medical Center was both an exciting milestone and the perfect next step in my pharmacy journey. From the very beginning, I was welcomed into a supportive environment where preceptors are dedicated to teaching, collaboration, and patient-centered care.

One of my favorite aspects of residency so far has been rounding with the new medical residents and physicians. These interprofessional experiences allow me to contribute meaningfully to patient care while continuing to grow in my confidence and clinical practice.

At Missouri Baptist, I have the privilege of engaging in diverse opportunities, including rounding with the internal medicine team, engaging with patients in the heart failure clinic, and precepting pharmacy students. Together, these experiences consistently challenge me to advance as a pharmacist.

I am grateful to be part of such a remarkable residency program and community of practitioners who encourage growth and collaboration. To future residents, I encourage you to consider what motivates you and what kind of environment will help you thrive. At Missouri Baptist, you will find both opportunities and support to reach your full potential.
