COVID-19 Vaccines
The COVID-19 vaccine is recommended for all individuals ages 6 months and above for protection against COVID-19.
BJC currently offers the Pfizer vaccine for those 5 years and older. Moderna is available for children 6 months – 4 years. Click the link below to schedule a vaccine.
A booster dose is recommended for everyone 5 years and older.
If you received Pfizer or Moderna as the initial series, the first booster dose should be given at least 5 months after completing the series.
If you received Johnson & Johnson (Janssen), the first booster dose should be given at least 2 months after completing the series.
The following people are eligible for a second booster dose at least 4 months after the first booster:
- Anyone 50 years and older
- 12 years and older who are moderately to severely immunocompromised
- 18-49 years who received J&J as both their primary series and booster dose
For people 5 years and older with a compromised immune system (including cancer or organ transplant patients), an additional (3rd) primary series Pfizer or Moderna dose is recommended 28 days after the last Pfizer, Moderna dose, or as a second primary series dose after an initial Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) dose. You would be eligible for boosters after completing your primary series.
Visit the CDC’s website for more information about booster doses and primary series recommendations for moderately or severely immunocompromised people.

If you have already received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine elsewhere and need to schedule dose 2, please contact the organization where you received your first dose.
Please continue to wear a mask, practice social distancing and follow public health guidelines while you await your appointment and after receiving your vaccine.
COVID-19 is still present and we have yet to achieve a sufficient level of community immunity. Thank you for helping protect yourself and our community.
