About Robert Snitzer, MD
Robert Snitzer, MD, FACC, is a board-certified physician specializing in cardiovascular disease.
Patients ages 18 and above may consult with Dr. Snitzer for general cardiology care, invasive cardiology, interventional cardiology, stress testing, and nuclear cardiography. He provides a variety of cardiovascular procedures, including angioplasty, atherectomy, echocardiography, loop recorder implant, and intravascular ultrasound.
Dr. Snitzer focuses on creating a shared partnership of care with his patients. He values patient input and strives to ensure each patient understands their illness and treatment options. Dr. Snitzer chose to specialize in cardiology because it allows him to use his knowledge and training to make a difference in the lives of his patients and their families.
Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, Dr. Snitzer lives in St. Louis with his wife and two children. He enjoys family vacations, spending time at the beach, and a variety of sports, including golf.
He earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University and completed his internship and residency with Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University. Dr. Snitzer then went on to complete his fellowship with Vanderbilt University.

The BJC Medical Group (BJCMG) partners with an independent survey company, Professional Research Consultants (PRC), to gather feedback directly from patients about their experiences. PRC sends electronic surveys to BJCMG patients following a medical visit, asking them to evaluate different aspects of their care.
