Michael Iskander, MD

Michael Iskander, MD, is a family medicine physician who cares for newborns and patients ages 5 and older. He provides preventive health services, including physicals for newborns, children, and adults; well-woman exams; health screenings; and immunizations. He treats common illnesses, minor injuries, and manages chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure, depression, and anxiety. Additionally, he provides men’s health services and performs minor in-office procedures, including removal of skin lesions, suturing, and joint injections.

Dr. Iskander is a patient-oriented physician who builds partnerships with patients and their families. He listens and explains conditions and treatments in a way patients can easily understand, and provides personalized care tailored to patients’ needs.

Dr. Iskander was born in Cairo, Egypt and grew up in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. On weekends, he plays golf, badminton, soccer, and squash, and enjoys training his dog. He enjoys traveling to visit his family in Cairo and Toronto whenever he can.

Dr. Iskander earned his medical degree from American University of Antigua College of Medicine in Coolidge, Antigua. He completed his family medicine residency at Southern Illinois University’s family medicine residency program at Alton Memorial Hospital and the BJC Medical Group Family Medicine Residency Clinic in Alton, Illinois.
