About Laura Barton, MD
Laura Barton, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician who treats patients from birth through age 22. She provides preventive health care services, including well-baby visits, child, adolescent, and young adult physicals, and immunizations. She treats minor illnesses and injuries, chronic medical conditions, medically complex patients, and behavioral health concerns, such as ADHD, anxiety, and depression.
Dr. Barton values building lasting relationships with her patients and their families. She is committed to ensuring seamless and coordinated care throughout a child’s growth into young adulthood, paying close attention to their unique needs at every stage. By working collaboratively with families who have specialized care requirements, she delivers comprehensive care that addresses all aspects of a child's health and well-being.
Originally from East Alton, Illinois, Dr. Barton has been a pediatrician in Alton since 2006. She enjoys hiking national parks with her husband and family of six. She also enjoys baking, cooking, yoga, and playing games with her family.
Dr. Barton earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. She completed her pediatric residency at WashU Medicine and St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
