About Kathy Liefer, FNP
Kathy Liefer, FNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in vascular surgery who sees patients 18 and older. Kathy performs various dialysis treatments, including evaluations of new and existing hemodialysis access, as well as tunnel dialysis catheter removal, repair, and the use of Activase® treatment in the office, when required.
Kathy listens to patients' needs, answers questions about diagnoses and treatment options, and develops personalized care plans that focus on empowering patients and helping them reach their health goals.
Kathy is from Freeburg, Illinois, and when she isn’t caring for patients, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, gardening, camping, traveling to national parks, and caring for her family's pets. One of her priorities is making someone smile each day.
Kathy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville in Edwardsville, Illinois.
