Kamaal Hicks, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician with an additional board certification in women’s health, treating patients of all ages. He provides general medicine and preventive care, including annual wellness exams and health screenings for adults, pediatrics, and newborns, well-woman exams, and low-risk obstetrical care and deliveries. Dr. Hicks manages a wide range of conditions such as colds, minor injuries, asthma, heart disease, and obesity. Additionally, he performs joint injections, skin biopsies, contraception counseling, and prescribes weight-loss medications.
Dr. Hicks is dedicated to family medicine, providing care and services to individuals in the community. He views supporting patients from infancy to advanced age as a privilege, and being with them throughout their health care journey is invaluable.
Originally from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Dr. Hicks enjoys watching and playing sports, particularly the St. Louis Cardinals and the Blues, and spending quality time with his family. He continues to volunteer and remain active in the community.
Dr. Hicks earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis. He completed his residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Alton, Illinois, at Alton Memorial Hospital, and at the Southern Illinois Health Foundation.
