About Jennifer Barbin, MD
Jennifer Barbin, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine and wound care physician who treats patients 18 years and older. She provides preventative care, such as annual wellness exams, vaccinations and health screenings. Dr. Barbin manages a variety of conditions, including asthma, allergies, COPD, anxiety, depression, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity and thyroid disease. She also treats chronic wounds at the hospital’s wound clinic and provides hospice care with BJC Hospice. Dr. Barbin enjoys building relationships with patients, providing guidance on their health and working with them to get the best care possible. She finds it most rewarding when her patients improve and know she is there for them in difficult times. She is available to help her patients and their families navigate the complex world of medicine. Dr. Barbin is from Manila, Philippines. She enjoys crocheting, pickleball, badminton and spending time with her family, traveling, going to the movies or just being together at home. Dr. Barbin earned her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She then completed an internship at Forest Park Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri and her residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

The BJC Medical Group (BJCMG) partners with an independent survey company, Professional Research Consultants (PRC), to gather feedback directly from patients about their experiences. PRC sends electronic surveys to BJCMG patients following a medical visit, asking them to evaluate different aspects of their care. Once a provider receives at least 30 reviews, responses are calculated by our survey vendor and posted to the provider's profile using a five-star rating system.
