Brandy Byrd, FNP, is a certified family nurse practitioner specializing in gastroenterology for patients 18 and older. She manages general gastroenterology conditions, providing treatment and follow-up for disease detection and prevention. Conditions she treats include gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, and gallstones. She also assists with colorectal cancer screenings and endoscopies.
Brandy provides compassionate care and uses evidence-based medicine. She is dedicated to her patients, working collaboratively with them to ensure they feel safe and comfortable. She listens to patients’ questions and offers education to ensure they understand their diagnosis and treatment plans.
Originally from St. Louis, Brandy enjoys camping with her family, watching new shows, and reading. She also likes trying new restaurants and traveling with her friends and family.
Brandy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois.
