April Johnson, FNP, is a certified family medicine nurse practitioner who treats patients of all ages. She provides preventive care, including annual wellness physicals, well-woman exams, pediatric checkups, school physicals, sick visits, vaccinations, and mental health support. April treats asthma, high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disease, anxiety, depression, obesity, minor illnesses, and injuries. She also provides services such as contraception consultations, birth control insertion and removal, weight management medications, dermatology procedures, and suture and staple removal. April enjoys caring for patients of all ages and their families. She builds relationships with patients, working together on their health. April earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois College of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois, and her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She earned her post-master’s certification as a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. This practice is part of BJC Medical Group of Missouri.
