About Abdulsalam Jamous, MD
Abdulsalam Jamous, MD, is a board-certified pulmonologist, sleep medicine specialist, and critical care physician who cares for patients 18 years and older. He treats various conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, pulmonary nodules, hemoptysis, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis, pulmonary hypertension, autoimmune lung disease, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, hypersomnia, insomnia, and restless leg syndrome. Procedures he performs include bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, thoracentesis, and lung biopsies.
Dr. Jamous is committed to patient care by working closely with patients through clear communication, teamwork, education, and ongoing support throughout the diagnostic process. He spends additional time explaining diagnoses. He ensures his patients thoroughly understand their medical conditions, empowering them to make informed decisions and actively engage in their treatment.
Dr. Jamous is originally from Damascus, Syria. He enjoys traveling, researching history, and spending time with his family. He is a dedicated volunteer at his church.
Dr. Jamous earned his medical degree from Damascus University School of Medicine in Damascus, Syria. He completed an internal medicine residency at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas, and a pulmonary, sleep medicine, and critical care medicine fellowship at the University of Missouri-Columbia in Columbia, Missouri.
