Hunter Mitchell, MD

Hunter Mitchell, MD, is a neurologist who treats patients ages 18 and older. She evaluates and diagnoses inflammatory conditions involving the brain and spinal cord, including multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica (NMO), MOG antibody disease, neurosarcoidosis, autoimmune encephalitis and meningitis, myelopathy, optic neuritis, and paraneoplastic syndromes.

Dr. Mitchell provides her patients with excellent care, clear communication, and the latest diagnostic tools. She works to empower her patients, many with lifelong medical conditions, by clearly explaining diagnoses and treatment options and answering questions in a way that patients and their families can easily understand.

Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Mitchell is excited to be part of the St. Louis community. Outside of work, she enjoys Pilates, spending time with her friends and family, and learning pottery.

Dr. Mitchell earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee. She completed a neuroimaging fellowship at DENT Neurologic Institute in Buffalo, New York, and a clinical and research fellowship in multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology at the VA Maryland Healthcare System and the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland.
