BJC and the Health Insurance Marketplace

Starting November 1, you can apply for 2025 coverage or update your application with any changes you expect for the year ahead.

BJC hospitals and providers participate in the Individual Health Insurance Marketplace plans offered by Aetna CVS Health for Plan Year 2025.

• This plan/network will cover both Missouri and Illinois-based BJC providers and facilities and will be available for purchase to residents who reside in one of the following Missouri counties: Crawford, Franklin, Jefferson, Lincoln, St. Charles, St. Francois, St. Louis, St. Louis City, Ste. Genevieve, Warren, and Washington or Illinois counties: Adams, Bureau, Brown, Cass, Christian, Henry, Knox, LaSalle, Logan, Macon, Mason, Menard, Morgan, Moultrie, Peoria, Putnam, Pike, Sangamon, Schuyler, Scott, Shelby, Stark, Bond, Calhoun, Clinton, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin, Montgomery, Randolph, Warren, and Washington.

• While some reciprocity exists, it can be limited. Residents of other Missouri or Illinois counties are encouraged to confirm if Aetna CVS Health plans are offered if they desire to access BJC on an in-network basis.

Alton Memorial Hospital and Memorial Hospital Belleville and Shiloh campuses and Illinois-based BJC physicians will be available in most Illinois counties through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois (Blue Choice Preferred PPO). Missouri-based BJC facilities/providers are not included in this plan/network.
