Stepping Stones camp offers grieving children opportunity for fun and friendship
Each summer, BJC Hospice hosts a unique camp to help children who have experienced a loss cope with grief and make new connections. The Stepping Stones bereavement camp was created in 1999 and features a weekend of swimming, games, campfires, and opportunities to build friendships. The free camp is funded through the St. Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation.
KMOV-TV (Channel 4) recently reported on how Stepping Stones camp provides children with something they may not realize they need—a link to peers who are going through the same emotional journey.
