BJC HealthCare Names Dr. John Lynch and Trish Lollo as East Region Group Presidents

Two leaders from within BJC HealthCare, the East Region of BJC Health System, will assume group president roles, beginning immediately.

(ST. LOUIS) October 20, 2025 – Two leaders from within BJC HealthCare, the East Region of BJC Health System, will assume group president roles, beginning immediately.

John Lynch, MD John Lynch, MD will serve in a dual role, as both group president and his current role as president of Barnes-Jewish Hospital. In his expanded role as an East Region group president, he will now also have oversight of Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital, Christian Hospital, Goldfarb School of Nursing, and BJC pharmacy services.

Trish Lollo Trish Lollo will move into the group president role and will continue serving as president of St. Louis Children’s Hospital until a replacement is named. In her new role as an East Region group president, Lollo will have responsibility for Alton Memorial Hospital, Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, Memorial Hospital, Missouri Baptist Medical Center, Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital, Parkland Health Center, Progress West Hospital, and St. Louis Children’s Hospital, in addition to BJC Behavioral Health and BJC Home Care and Hospice. Lollo will also serve as the administrative contact for BJC Medical Group and for BJC joint ventures with Bethesda Health, Encompass Health, and KVC.

Dr. Lynch has served as president of Barnes-Jewish Hospital since 2020, having previously served as chief medical officer and chief operating officer. He has been on the hospital’s medical staff since 1995. Board-certified in pulmonary medicine, he is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. Additionally, Dr. Lynch is professor of medicine at WashU Medicine, where he was formerly vice chair of the Department of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University. He completed his residency at the former Barnes Hospital and his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at WashU Medicine. 

Lollo has served as president of St. Louis Children’s Hospital since 2019, having previously served as president of Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital for three years, where she led the hospital’s long-term strategic plan and campus transformation. Lollo joined BJC HealthCare in 2011 as the vice president of oncology services at Siteman Cancer Center and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Before joining Siteman, she served as associate administrator of oncology services for the University of California San Diego Health System, where she oversaw the delivery of cancer care at two hospital campuses and UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center. Lollo earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Stony Brook University and a master’s degree in public health from Yale University.
