Your Experience

Family-centered care: We offer personalized maternity care and a collaborative relationship between our clinicians and your family to provide the best experience and health outcomes. We welcome your family to join in your care.
Safety and security: Your safety is always our top priority. Along with security measures, such as unique identification bands for mom and baby, we encourage you to take an active role in your care. Ask questions, share your thoughts, and stay informed every step of the way.
Level 2E special care nursery and neonatology support for babies: Our nurseries are for newborns who need special care due to prematurity or other health issues. Washington University Physicians in Illinois, including neonatologists and pediatricians from St. Louis Children's Hospital, provide coverage for these newborns at our Family Care Birthing Center.
Private accommodations: Each family has a private room for labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum time, providing a great way for the new family to bond in a home-like setting that’s comfortable, inviting, and private.
Obstetrical emergency department (OB-ED): When medical emergencies occur during pregnancy, time is of the essence. Memorial Hospital is the first hospital in the Metro East to offer an OB-ED dedicated to providing emergency care to pregnancy patients with medical needs that may arise during pregnancy. Walk in and we’ll be here for you and your baby.
