Pregnancy is one of the most memorable experiences of your life. At the Childbirth Center at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, you'll receive compassionate, private, and comfortable care from our exceptional team of caregivers.
At MoBap's Childbirth Center, you can expect quality care before, during, and after the birth of your child. Our facility offers a cozy, intimate atmosphere created to meet the entire spectrum of birthing needs from labor and delivery through to recovery and postpartum.
We offer private birthing suites, accommodation for an overnight guest, in-room dining services, and other amenities that will make you feel right at home.

Pre-register your baby's birth at our Childbirth Center: Simplify your check-in process and have less to worry about when you arrive to deliver your baby by pre-registering for the Childbirth Center at MoBap. You can pre-register within 30 days of your expected delivery date. Call 314-747-5050, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m.

Ways to prevent SIDS in infants
Understanding safe sleep best practices will greatly reduce your baby’s risk of suffering a sleep-related infant death, like sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) which is the leading cause of death among babies 1 month to 1 year of age.
Your Experience
One nurse for mother and baby: Ask any mom who has had their baby at MoBap, and they'll tell you: MoBap has extraordinary nursing care. We also believe the best care comes when you and your baby share the same nurse. And since baby rarely leaves your room, your nurse can focus their attention on both of you for true family-centered care.
Advanced care for baby: MoBap is prepared to handle premature babies, high-risk newborns, and multiple births with a 24/7 staff of WashU Medicine neonatologists and pediatricians from St. Louis Children’s Hospital in our Level III newborn intensive care unit (NICU), approved by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the National Association of Neonatal Nurses. In addition, there is a children’s Emergency Department at MoBap, designed specifically for kids from birth to 18 years old, staffed by pediatric nurses and WashU Medicine pediatricians from St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Comfortable accommodations: We’ve designed the Childbirth Center at MoBap to feel more comfortable and less clinical. We offer private mother and baby rooms, with bathrooms and partner sleeping arrangements so your family can form that very important bond with your new baby. And our “Dining on Call” menu is available to you 7 a.m.- 7p.m. offering a full range of choices so you can order whatever appeals to you.
Support for parents before and after birth: At MoBap, supporting healthy and happy babies begins with supporting the parents. We offer online classes to help guide parents each step of the way, including classes on pregnancy with multiples, childbirth, infant care, and breastfeeding.
Lactation support: Our board-certified lactation specialists provide guidance and hands-on support to help mothers establish and maintain breastfeeding. This includes assistance with latching, milk supply, positioning, and overall breastfeeding education to support a positive feeding experience.
Newborn feeding guidance: For babies who are struggling to feed, our specialized Infant Feeding Therapy team provides advanced evaluation and care. This team is made up of occupational therapists (OTs) who hold additional certifications as International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) and Certified Neonatal Therapists.
Newborn photography: MoBap offers photography services through Alexandra Mooney Photography and Bella Baby Photography for those who want to capture this special moment.
Anesthesia guided by need: If you have an epidural, you’ll find that we’re ready to make you comfortable as soon as you need it. And because there is always an anesthesiologist on site in our department, you won’t have to wait in pain until that doctor arrives.
