Parkland Health Center Foundation

The Parkland Health Center Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in 2009. Founded with an anchor gift from the Alex Hawn estate, the Foundation supports Parkland Health Center's efforts in providing quality care to residents in its community. The Foundation also provides a tax-wise method of giving for those who may wish to honor a loved one or help others in need of medical care. Parkland Health Center is a non-profit hospital and is part of BJC HealthCare. With gifts from our generous donors, the Foundation provides:

• Clinical services
• High-quality physicians and other medical professionals
• A thriving workforce that provides superior patient care and is passionate about service excellence
• Public health education

Heroes for health care 

A Hero for Health Care is an individual or business who believes in the mission and vision of Parkland Health Center Foundation and wants to offer philanthropic support. Giving through The Foundation ensures we can support exceptional care, with the flexibility to address the most pressing needs and have the greatest impact.

To be recognized as a hero is to signal a deep commitment to those who make our community a great place to live, work, and play. As a hero, you will know you have done your part to enhance the health care your family, friends, neighbors, and team members receive each day. 
 

What is the impact of your philanthropy?

At Parkland Health Center, your support enables us to enhance many aspects of our health care delivery, improve patient outcomes, and give patients and their families the experience they deserve. Enhancements include the addition of a stereotactic breast biopsy unit, cardiac cath lab equipment, women’s imaging services, OB-GYN services, a medical inflatable, and so much more.  

With your help, we will continue to provide the highest quality care—right here in our community—without unnecessary travel when time is critical. 

How heroes will be recognized 

• Heroes will receive a unique donor pin to wear at all Parkland Health Center events. 
• Heroes will be honored at the gala each year for their generosity and investment in ensuring quality health care.  

The Parkland Health Center Foundation is committed to improving and enhancing health care in St. Francois County. 

An annual contribution of $500 or more will deem you and your business as a Hero for Health Care. You can do so through:

Women’s Wellness and Pediatrics Expansion 

Ongoing campaign Funds raised will benefit essential pediatric and women’s health services, helping expand exam rooms, welcoming additional providers, and ensuring families across our region have access to the compassionate, high-quality care they deserve.
