About the Barnes-Jewish St. Peters & Progress West Foundation

Connecting Our Community with Care

The Barnes-Jewish St. Peters & Progress West Foundation provides vital support to BJC HealthCare’s efforts to promote health, wellness and state-of-the-art care in St. Charles County. By connecting donor funds to the places that it’s needed most, we provide a vital link for the families who rely on many of the health care services we offer.  Our joint foundation formed in 2011, to support the two BJC hospitals in St. Charles County, Barnes-Jewish St. Peters and Progress West Hospitals, which opened in 1980 and 2004, respectively. Building on this successful tradition, our Foundation is committed to a single mission: to provide health, healing and hope to the people in this community.  Some of the specific ways the Foundation supports this community include:

  • Free flu shot and health screening events
  • Wigs for patients at Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital
  • Continuing education for the BJC HealthCare team in St. Charles County
  • Funding state-of-the art technology like Progress West Hospital’s Cardiac Catheterization Lab

Donate to our foundation, and your generous tax-deductible donation will immediately go toward your friends and neighbors in St. Charles County. If you'd like to learn more about how we invest in St. Charles County's wellness, please contact Mark Turnispeed at Mark.Turnipseed@bjc.org.
