COVID-19 Testing Resources

Find a COVID-19 Test Near You

If you need to be tested for COVID-19, there are multiple options in our region. Check with your local public health department, which often offers free testing options. You can also contact your primary care physician. The ER is not the best place to receive a COVID-19 test.

Due to unusually high volumes, availability of COVID-19 testing at local convenient cares is limited to those with COVID symptoms. Please contact your local convenient care prior to arrival to confirm appointment eligibility.

Learn more about testing options from:

Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services
Illinois Department of Public Health
St. Louis County
St. Charles County

Additional options include many retail pharmacies such as CVS and Walgreens.

Know Before You Go to the ER

BJC emergency departments do not offer stand-alone testing services. If you do not have symptoms or do not need immediate care, an emergency department is not the best place for testing. Emergency room visits require a fee or co-pay. Patients are prioritized by severity of illness or injury, so individuals without symptoms seeking testing may experience extended waiting times.
