The BJC Center of Excellence (BJC COE) program offers access to world-class medical care exclusively from BJC HealthCare and WashU Medicine while reducing employers' costs by providing that care at competitive pricing.
Available for enrolled self-funded customers located outside of the St. Louis metropolitan area, BJC COE provides high-quality care for complex conditions from these nationally recognized organizations:
- Barnes-Jewish Hospital
- St. Louis Children’s Hospital
- Siteman Cancer Center
- WashU Medicine
Member employers can use BJC COE to access:
Two ways to participate in BJC COE:
- Employers can design a benefit plan that features BJC HealthCare and WashU Medicine as the sole advanced medical care providers in the network.
- Employers can incorporate meaningful incentives in plan design for members to primarily seek care from BJC HealthCare and WashU Medicine.
Employers who offer this type of unique COE benefit design often cover member travel costs (plus companion) as well as waiving any member cost sharing.
