At the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Oncology Infusion Center at Town and Country, you can expect expert infusion care in a comfortable, welcoming environment, including:
- Expert providers: Our registered nurses and pharmacists have specialized training in infusion therapy, including expertise in managing port-a-catheters and peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) lines.
Comfortable care: The Infusion Center is designed with convenience and comfort in mind, including warm blankets, lots of natural light, individual treatment pods with TVs and WiFi overlooking the Healing Garden, and snacks and refreshments.

Before your appointment
Here's what to expect when you arrive for your infusion treatment:
- Bring a photo ID and your insurance
- Children 12 and under are not allowed in the treatment area and must be accompanied by an adult in the waiting room. If you’re bringing a child who is 12 or younger, please bring another adult who can watch them during your treatment.
What happens during infusion therapy?
- Our team will verify you are well enough to receive treatment that day
- A registered nurse will place an IV in your hand or arm
- Your medication will be ordered and prepared by our on-site pharmacy
- Once treatment begins, you may have one visitor over the age of 12 with you in the treatment room

We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare. Our financial counselors can help verify your benefits before your appointment.
What do I need to bring with me?
Bring your ID and insurance information for check-in. The treatment area has semi-private rooms each with its own TV and chair for a support person. We also have WiFi, warm blankets, and some snacks, but you can also bring in outside food, personal entertainment (like a laptop or tablet) and headphones.
