Maggie Wolf

Maggie Wolf is the interim president, vice president of Patient Care Services, and chief nursing officer at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital.

Maggie has been vice president of Patient Care Services and chief nursing officer at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital since 2023. An accomplished health care executive, she provides strategic and operational leadership focused on delivering exceptional patient care, advancing clinical quality, supporting workforce excellence, and ensuring the hospital’s continued growth and success.

Maggie joined Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital from St. Louis Children’s Hospital, where she served as the director of Emergency and Newborn Services from 2019–2023. In this role, she worked collaboratively with physician partners and clinical service line directors to identify and establish long- and short-term strategies for emergency, trauma, critical care, transport team, and newborn intensive care services. She was also instrumental in coordinating $1.8 million in federal funding to add a Behavioral Health Unit for the Emergency Department.  

Maggie’s previous roles include interim vice president of Patient Care Services and chief nursing officer, director of newborn intensive care services, neonatal nurse practitioner, and manager of neonatal nurse practitioners at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.  

Maggie holds a bachelor of science in nursing and a master of science in nursing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and a doctor of nursing practice from the University of Missouri in Columbia. In addition, she completed the neonatal nurse practitioner program at the former Jewish Hospital School of Nursing/St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
