We also provide mental and emotional support services, including individual or couples therapy, screening and care for postpartum depression, and psychiatry services.
Accredited Baby-Friendly® hospital: Our staff has received extensive training in the most current mother-baby care, bonding and infant feeding recommendations and practices to help you feel connected with your baby and confident in your ability to care for your new addition after discharge. For women who choose to breastfeed, we have certified lactation specialists on site seven days a week for individual counseling and education.
Highest level of care available for baby: You can feel confident that your baby will receive the most advanced care when needed before and after birth. St. Louis Children’s Hospital newborn medicine specialist and our Level IV newborn ICU provide the highest level of care available for newborns requiring specialized care. Directly connected to the labor and delivery unit, the NICU makes it easy for you and your family to visit your baby while you recover from giving birth.
Amenities with the comforts of home: When you arrive at the new Women & Infants Center, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible. That’s why we offer private birthing suites and mother-baby rooms, many with views of Forest Park in our brand new Parkview Tower building. You and your visitors can also enjoy the private maternity rooftop garden.
