SPECTRA (LGBTQ+)

The BJC SPECTRA (LGBTQ+) Connection group is open to all BJC lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex and asexual (LGBTQ+) team members, along with all other team members who would like to show their support. SPECTRA stands for Support, Pride, Equality, Camaraderie, Trust, Respect and Alliance. The group focuses on volunteerism and training BJC team members to better support the needs of the LGBTQ+ community.

Watch the replay of the BJC SPECTRA Connection online town hall

On Nov. 9, the BJC SPECTRA Connection group hosted an online town hall to share information about Barnes-Jewish and St. Louis Children’s Hospitals’ journeys to achieving leadership and top performer designations in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s (HRC) Healthcare Equality Index, the opportunities for other hospitals and service organizations to pursue similar designation, and to discuss SPECTRA’s plans for 2021.
