SPECTRA (LGBTQ+)

The BJC SPECTRA (LGBTQ+) Connection group is open to all BJC lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex and asexual (LGBTQ+) team members, along with all other team members who would like to show their support. SPECTRA stands for Support, Pride, Equality, Camaraderie, Trust, Respect and Alliance. The group focuses on volunteerism and training BJC team members to better support the needs of the LGBTQ+ community.

BJC SPECTRA Connection group to ’re-connect’ Feb. 27

Event takes place from 5-7:30 p.m., Feb. 27, at the BJC Learning Institute lower level auditorium. Refreshments will be provided. Starting at 5:40 p.m., guest speakers from the PrideSTL board of directors will present on the unique journeys of continued progress for each of the identities that make up the LGBTQIA+ community. Attendees can take part in a discussion of history, challenges, successes and beyond of this diverse community and how the concept of family brings us all together to celebrate the connections that unite our future.
