BJC and Saint Luke’s Officially Combine as BJC Health System

Riham El-Lakany

Riham oversees BJC HealthCare’s brand and market presence, executive and internal communications, digital strategies, customer experience and media relations. She focuses on powerfully articulating the BJC mission by leading the development of strategies that enhance BJC’s position as an industry leader dedicated to both the health needs of the community and excellence in medicine. 

Prior to joining BJC in 2022, Riham served as chief marketing and communications officer for housing finance pillar Freddie Mac’s multi-trillion-dollar single-family business unit. At Freddie Mac, she led business growth, retention marketing and sales strategies; created and executed a brand repositioning strategy; and devised a multipronged marketing effort to drive adoption of advanced technology platforms. 

Before joining Freddie Mac in 2017, Riham served in executive marketing and communication roles at Marsh LLC, Prudential Financial, Zurich Financial Services, ACE Group and American International Group. 

Riham earned a master’s degree in economics from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the American University in Cairo. She was named a Woman of Influence by HousingWire magazine and a Top Woman in Communications by Ragan Communications and PR Daily. Riham is a member of PEER 150 Marketing, Ellevate Global Professional Women’s Network and the Forbes Marketing Council.
