Video visit with PC / Mac (Computer)

A MyChart account is required to complete eCheck-In prior to your video visit.

With MyChart, you can:

eCheck-In for your upcoming appointments

View your health summary

View test results

Request prescription renewals

Communicate securely with your medical care team

Review requirements for Zoom virtual visit

  • Computer with a camera
  • MyChart account
  • Meeting ID and password or Zoom link shared from provider’s office

Activate MyChart account (if not already registered)

  1. Request your MyChart activation link by calling your BJC Medical Group, Washington University Physicians or BJC HealthCare provider’s office.
  2. Follow instructions in the email sent by the provider’s office to activate MyChart account.
  3. If you do not remember your login and password, call 314.273.1966 to speak with the MyChart Help Desk.

Complete eCheck-In

  • eCheck-in allows you to sign forms, pay any copays, confirm contact information and verify insurance details needed for your visit.
  1. Log in to your MyChart account by visiting mypatientchart.org.
  2. View your scheduled appointment listed on the Visits page.
  3. Select the eCheck-In button to complete your pre-appointment documentation. It is recommended to complete eCheck-In as soon as possible and can be done up to 7 days before your appointment.
  4. The content and number of eCheck-iIn questions vary by patient. Select NEXT to proceed to the next question and select SUBMIT upon completion.

Chrome

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. Click the More icon ( ) at the top right of your browser.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Scroll down and click Advanced.
  5. Click Content settings in the Privacy & security section.
  6. Scroll down and select Pop-ups & redirects.
  7. Choose an option: Allow all pop-ups: Click Blocked (recommended) to change the setting to Allowed.

Firefox

  1. Click the Menu button at the top right of your browser.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Select the Privacy & Security panel on the left.
  4. Scroll down and click Exceptions. (next to Block pop-up windows in the Permissions section)
  5. Type mypatientchart.org and click Allow.
  6. Click Save Changes.

Internet Explorer 11

  1. Click the Tools icon at the top right of your browser.
  2. Click Internet options.
  3. Click the Privacy tab.
  4. Under Pop-up Blocker section, uncheck the checkbox next to Turn on Pop-up Blocker. Click OK.

Safari

  1. Click Safari from the top menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click the Websites tab.
  3. Select Pop-up Windows under General on the left.
  4. Click the When visiting other websites drop-down at the bottom right.
  5. Select Allow.

Begin video visit using a meeting ID and password

  If you were sent a Zoom link, click here or scroll to step 1a

Open internet browser.

Enter zoom.us/join in the address bar.

Enter Meeting ID and select Join.

Zoom will download on your device. Select Run to allow Zoom to download (if prompted).

Enter your Name and Meeting Password (if prompted) and select Join Meeting.

Please wait for your provider to start the meeting and admit you into the video visit.

Select Join with Computer Audio.

Select Start Video. If you do not see this icon, move your mouse anywhere over the screen.

Begin video visit using a Zoom link

Click the link shared by provider’s office.

Zoom will download on your device. Select Run to allow Zoom to download (if prompted).

Please wait for your provider to start the meeting and admit you into the video visit.

Enter your name and select Join Meeting.

Please wait for the host to admit you into the meeting.

Select Join with Computer Audio.
