Parkview Tower, the expansion of Barnes-Jewish Hospital, actually started with Phase 1 demolition in mid-2013 and included the following buildings: the Kingshighway, Steinberg and Yalem buildings. Demolition was completed summer 2014 with phase 1 construction starting soon thereafter.
The new Parkview Tower will include:
- Consolidated and expanded clinical care at the Siteman Cancer Center as well as other surgical services and programs
- Consolidated and modernized Women and Infants program; labor and delivery is co-located with the St. Louis Children’s Hospital neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)
- Diagnostics and support space
