I am 55 and weigh 163 pounds. I exercise, but I am having a hard time loosing 15 pounds. Any suggestions?

First, you need to know how many calories to eat in order to lose weight. It depends on age, height, weight and activity level mostly. It is important that you measure or weigh everything that you eat or drink. It is also helpful to log all drinks and food you consume, so you don't forget about the few bites of bread or the nibble on a cookie or tasting the soup.

There are helpful applications on the computer or your smart phone to help, such as Loseit! Losing weight takes time. A good, safe weight loss is 2 to 4 pounds per month maximum. Cutting back too much or starving yourself does not work in the long term.

Weigh only one time per week. Enjoy ice water with lemon, tea, or diet drink to get you over a hump. Lots of non-starchy vegetables too.
