I have type 2 diabetes. How can I get back on track? 

If you haven’t had a physical in the past year, it would be a good place to start.  Listen to your doctor and/or nurse or diabetes educator. Cut back on food portions. Reduce the amount of snack foods or sweets in your diet. Set up an appointment with a registered dietitian to help with meal planning. With permission from your doctor, begin taking walks or doing some other moderate activity. Check back with your doctor every 3-4 months for an HgbA1c test, and follow-up with a CDE (certified diabetes educator).
