My blood sugar was 195 before bed. A1c was 5.9 one month ago. I have not been good with my diet. I also take Zocor. Should I be concerned or just follow good diet?

If you have diabetes, good management of blood sugar means keeping it under 180 mg/dl most of the time. If you are not diagnosed, An A1c of 5.9% indicates pre-diabetes. You may return your blood glucose back into the normal range by eating nutritiously, exercise, and losing weight if needed.
