Can I take naproxen for torn rotator cuff pain?

The issue that individuals with diabetes could have with steroids and NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), like naproxen (Naprosyn), has to do with kidney function problems that may cause fluid retention. If you have diabetes with good kidney function and take the anti-inflammatory NSAID for a temporary condition, there should be no problems. If you would have to take the naproxen for a longer time, please speak with the doctor treating your diabetes.
