Can a 4-year-old who is taking montelukast sod 4 mg take Robitussin DM at the same time?

There are no direct drug interactions between montelukast (Singulair) and Robitussin DM (guaifenesin w/dextromethorphan). They may be given together if needed. Give the montelukast each day at the same time and the Robitussin product only when needed. Have the child drink plenty of water when taking the Robitussin.
