I took 10 mg of Loratadine about 6 hours ago would it be safe to take 50 mg of diphenhydramine now?

Both of these are antihistamines. The loratadine (Claritin) is a long acting product. The diphenhydramine (Benadryl) is a short acting, more drowsy causing antihistamine. If you need to be alert, I would suggest you wait longer.

If you do not have to be alert, are not going to drive, operate machinery, climb ladders, have to be the caregiver to small children and plan to go to bed soon, it would most likely be alright.
