Hi, I'm taking simvastatin 40mg can I also take phentermine 37.5mg? My BMI is 40. I'm 53 years old.

There are no direct drug interactions between simvastatin (Zocor) and phentermine (Adipex). Normally the phentermine is taken early in the day and the simvastatin is taken at bedtime.

If your physician hasn't made a recommendation for a nutrition specialist, you may what to ask about one. Changing the diet or the way one cooks, can influence both the BMI and cholesterol levels.
